L.E.A.F. for Moms (Learning Experiences and Fun)

Ephphatha Lutheran Mission Society chartered a MOPS chapter in 2007. Meetings began in March of 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica. The purpose of this MOPS group is to provide outreach to Deaf moms and hearing moms with deaf children as well as CODAs. As this group grows, additional MOPS groups will be established at other Lutheran churches in the area. If you are interested in joining this MOPS group, please contact us.

History

We soon found that the MOPS program wasn't going to work for us. We had women who wanted to join us and would benefit from the speakers, the fellowship, and could help mentor some of the younger moms. We since have changed the name to L.E.A.F. which stands for Learning Experiences and Fun which we hope will leave the door open to all deaf women with any aged chile, hearing moms with deaf children and CODAs.
