Vacation Bible School
The week of July 13-17, 2009, Christ the King Lutheran Church in Flint held VBS. Deaf and hearing adults helped the kids enjoy the different activities throughout the week. The kids had a blast all week with a water/fish theme.
Throughout the week the children learned Bible story lessons focused on the five Greek letters for the word fish, which also stand for Jesus Christ God's Son Savior. The lessons showed how Jesus was Christ, truly God's Son, and our Savior.

After the daily lessons, the kids made fun crafts, had snacks, and played outside. At the end of the week, the kids wanted another week of VBS fun. This year the kids were all hearing, but we hope to expand our attendance and include both hearing and Deaf children next summer.
